About the Opportunity

We are seeking a suitably qualified and registered RN2C Clinical Nurse to join our team at HaRTSS Cedar Health Service in a part-time capacity (0.6 FTE or 22.8 hours per week) until 30th June 2025.

The Clinical Nurse provides quality consumer-centred, trauma-responsive nursing healthcare to consumers over 16 years of age, inclusive of all genders who are experiencing domestic and family violence (DFV).

The successful candidate will be predominantly delivering clinical healthcare, including detailed healthcare assessments that can be used in the criminal justice system and referral pathways in accordance with consumer-centred care.

The Nurse Consultant is part of a dynamic team, carefully designed to deliver high-quality multi-disciplinary healthcare that is co-ordinated in response to meet the diverse and complex needs of the consumers who are, or have, experienced domestic and family violence.

About You

To be successful for this role, you should be a Registered Nurse who holds a current practicing certificate with at least 3 years full-time post-registration experience.

Your experience should include:

  • Competence in working with consumers experiencing family and domestic violence, community health or sexual health.
  • Ability to provide specialised domestic and family violence assessment triaging and healthcare such as recording injuries, which may later be used in court.
  • Responding to the health needs of people affected by domestic and family violence in the health service and ability to provide outreach nursing services in domestic and family violence accommodation.
