Automotive Mechanic Position

A highly skilled automotive mechanic is required to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment in a Melbourne workshop.

This individual will work collaboratively with fabricators, technicians, and assistants to develop effective solutions for the aviation industry.

The ideal candidate will have relevant trade qualifications, experience working with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical fault finding, as well as excellent communication skills.

The following responsibilities will be expected:

  • Conducting repairs and preventive maintenance tasks on ground support equipment.
  • Promoting a safety-first approach and collaborating with colleagues to achieve this goal.
  • Working with multiple unique GSE specialized equipment and utilizing knowledge and skills to develop effective solutions.

This role offers competitive compensation, 5 weeks annual leave (190 hours), and excellent mentorship opportunities.

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications and skills are required:

  • Relevant Mechanic Trade Qualification.
  • Experience working within procedural guidelines.
  • Good communication skills and proactiveness.
  • A positive attitude and proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player.
