Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced leader to support the delivery of cutting-edge capabilities. The successful candidate will lead technical activities to deliver integrated warfare capabilities within the maritime domain.

About the Role:

The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading technical activities to deliver Integrated Warfare capabilities within the maritime domain. They will work in an integrated team to support the achievement of project/program objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage functional design, delivery, testing, and acceptance of complex systems into service.
  • Integrate, certify, and accredit systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project/program objectives are met.
  • Develop and sustain effective working relationships.

Requirements:

  • Engineering experience in the project acquisition process and product management within an Authorised Engineering Organisation.
  • Ability to lead an engineering team in the delivery of a project/product.
  • Sound understanding of major systems integration.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known as the Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.
