About the Opportunity

This is an exciting leadership role within Operation AEGIS, where you will play a critical supervisory part in ensuring the security and safety of Australia's borders. As a Border Force Supervisor, you will lead compliance and enforcement activities, working closely with law enforcement partners to monitor and enforce visa and community safety conditions for individuals under the Bridging (Removal Pending) visa.

You will be responsible for guiding teams, making strategic decisions, and ensuring operational effectiveness in this high-impact role. Your mission-focused mindset will enable you to thrive in a dynamic, multi-agency environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead a team responsible for managing technical support for Electronic Monitoring Devices (EMDs), EMD applications and removals, conducting field compliance checks, and overseeing stakeholder engagement with law enforcement agencies.
  • Compliance Enforcement: Supervise and guide proactive field inspections and compliance activities, ensuring visa and behaviour-related conditions are adhered to by individuals within the BVR cohort.
  • Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with AFP, state and territory police, and other external partners, coordinating joint compliance activities.
  • Risk Assessment and Court Support: Conduct risk assessments, oversee responses to compliance breaches, and represent the ABF in court as needed, ensuring comprehensive documentation for legal proceedings.
Requirements
  • You must be an Australian citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline or Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance as applicable.
  • Meet and sustain medical, fitness, and psychometric standards essential for ABF operations. You will also be required to subscribe to the ABF Oath or Affirmation.
  • Wear ABF uniform in accordance with dress standards (unless the position requires wearing of business attire).
