Key Responsibilities

The Sr. VDC Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of projects by utilizing technology and established processes, requiring minimal supervision.

  • Independently completes VDC Coordination and Reality Capture processes, streamlining project workflows and enhancing overall efficiency.
  • Supports the implementation of Baseline and Enterprise VDC standards, fostering consistency and standardization across projects.
  • Applies Building Information Modeling (BIM) Standards and Specifications (BS&S) and BIM Execution Plan (BEP) on projects, driving constructability and reducing errors.
  • Ensures the quality and execution of day-to-day VDC project deliverables and processes, guaranteeing timely delivery and satisfaction.
  • Assists in drafting project coordination schedules and reviews them with the VDC Manager, promoting effective collaboration and communication.
  • Counsels and mentors less experienced team members, sharing expertise and knowledge to enhance skills and capabilities.
  • Communicates with internal and external project teams to resolve project issues and review schedules, maintaining transparency and open dialogue.
  • Uses 3D design software to identify and resolve project challenges, providing innovative solutions and improving project outcomes.
  • Employs Reality Capture technology to support project deliverables, leveraging data and insights to inform decision-making.
  • Merges building discipline models into the coordination model, ensuring comprehensive coverage and accuracy.
  • Reviews the coordination model for constructability issues, proactively addressing potential problems and mitigating risks.
  • Assigns responsible parties for issue resolution, delegating tasks and responsibilities effectively.
  • Displays areas of subject matter expertise, showcasing thought leadership and strategic thinking.
