As an Industrial Technologist with GFG-Alliance, you will be based out of either Newcastle, Laverton or Sydney. Your primary responsibilities will include providing expert support to the Manufacturing segment across multiple states. This will involve functioning as a Subject Matter Expert of steel making, rod & bar rolling and processing technologies.

You will play a key role in driving change management and technical leadership through all stages of new technology adoption. This includes scanning the environment to identify opportunities for commercialized technologies, providing active and hands-on support towards new technology projects and commissioning, and coaching and mentoring engineers and graduates in technology applications.

A successful candidate will have an Engineering qualification (Metallurgy, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) and/or equivalent extensive attainment of technical know-how. Additionally, they will possess a broad overview of steelmaking, smelting, or metallurgical technologies. Strong business acumen complemented by problem-solving and analytical skills is essential. Excellent oral and written communication abilities, along with the ability to compile a business case, are also required.

The estimated salary range for this position is around $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Demonstrated experience in maintaining OEM and technology network/partner relationships, as well as proven ability to motivate and influence the team's actions, is highly valued.
