About the Role

The IFYS Child Protection Residential Care Programs support children and young people needing a safe, dependable, and nurturing living environment. As a Residential Youth Worker, you will be responsible for delivering day-to-day care to young people in the Residential Care house, working closely with the Case Manager to ensure their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support young people to manage challenging behaviors and develop life skills
  • Plan and attend activities to promote socialization and emotional well-being
  • Complete case notes and administrative tasks to ensure accurate records
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for young people

About You

We are seeking a flexible and adaptable individual who is comfortable working with young people displaying complex and challenging behaviors. You will need to be able to build rapport quickly, remain non-judgmental, and have good professional boundaries. Experience working with vulnerable people is highly valued, and a Certificate IV or higher in a relevant field is required.
