About the Role:
The Clinical Support Nurse is a key member of our team, responsible for providing high-quality support to our nursing staff. This role involves working closely with Clinical Educators, the Learning Hub, and Nurse Unit Managers to ensure learners receive a supported and quality learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reinforce theoretical education and assist learners to develop the necessary skills, attitudes, and knowledge for specialty practice.
- Act as a professional role model for learners and collaborate with managers and staff in the clinical areas to support and promote excellence in clinical knowledge and skills.
- Support all levels of staff across the dedicated area, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with Bachelor Degree and current AHPRA registration.
- At least four years of acute clinical experience, with more than two years in the specialty area.
- Post Graduate Qualification in the Specialty Area.
- Prior experience in clinical teaching/preceptoring.
- Hold or working towards Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Higher Education qualification in Education (desirable).
