Job Summary

Are you an experienced engineering professional with a passion for renewable energy and project management?

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technologist to lead our sales and marketing efforts, application engineering, tendering, and order execution.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for blending application engineering, project specifications, technical requirements, Australian standards, drafting, and project management with hands-on field application to ensure systems meet safety, reliability, and compliance standards.

You will act as a bridge between clients and our OEM partners, providing technical expertise throughout the tendering and project execution stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify industry contacts and leads, develop relationships, undertake vendor approval and registration process, continual communications and follow-up for Projects and Opportunities.
  • Assist in analysing project requirements by reviewing single-line diagrams (SLDs), project specification, technical documentation, datasheets, drawings, and identifying potential opportunities for DSM Energy product Range.
  • Follow up with Clients for Potential tenders and bids for various Projects.
  • Contribute to the design and analysis of mechanical systems within renewable energy projects, ensuring compatibility with electrical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with electrical engineers to ensure safe and compliant systems for high-voltage installations.
  • Review various Project opportunities and tenders and identify technical specifications and project requirements for Transformer, Harmonic Filters, Switchgears, Neutral Earthing Transformer, Neutral Earthing Resistor and cable for LV, MV, and HV systems and associated equipment using AutoCAD and other CAD tools.
  • Coordinate with Factory for compliance offers and Proposal documentation.
  • On-time submission of offers and proposals to the Client and follow-up.
  • Closing the tenders and bids, maintain the opportunity register up to date.
  • Provide technical input during procurement of renewable energy equipment, including vendor evaluations and specification reviews.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality assurance of mechanical and electrical components.
  • Quality assurance checks during the Manufacturing and supply of renewable and utility infrastructure project equipment.
  • Compliance with the order execution requirement for documentation, Drawings, factory inspection and testing and dispatch of material and delivery at the site.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, as-built records, Reports, Commercial Documentation and Document Management.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and IEC Standards, grid codes, utility standards, and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuous communication with client and subcontractors to ensure a smooth process.

Requirements

  • Relevant Bachelor degree in Engineering or higher.
  • 1 year of relevant experience as Engineering Technologists.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD tools.
  • Knowledge of Australian and international standards and regulations.
