Cyber Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Governance and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Boeing Defence Australia. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of information security requirements, policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and respond to emerging security issues, ensuring the protection of our systems and data.
- Assess capability risk/gaps and develop strategies to meet objectives, ensuring the delivery of secure and reliable solutions.
- Participate in the evaluation of process effectiveness and identify areas for improvement, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Deliver sound and timely information security design advice, recommending technological or procedural solutions to meet security control intent.
- Investigate and document information security events, identifying root causes, prioritizing threats, and recommending corrective actions.
- Participate in the creation of security policies, audits, and assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Working knowledge of Australian Defence Security Principles Framework and associated policies and procedures.
- Understanding of developing and implementing information security practices in an engineering environment.
- Solid written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex security concepts to a broad and diverse audience.
- Sound information security knowledge across various environments, including network connectivity and configuration, Windows and Linux client-server systems, and engineering change management processes.
- Industry-recognized information security qualification or relevant experience.
Ability to obtain a Security Clearance - The preferred applicant will hold a minimum TOP SECRET NEGATIVE VETTING 1 level and be required to successfully undergo the security clearance vetting process at the TOP SECRET NEGATIVE VETTING 2 level.
