About the RoleThe Head of Junior School provides student management, curriculum, administrative, and pastoral oversight and leadership to Years K-6. We seek an educator who models understanding and commitment to Christian Education.
A passion for educating and nurturing students in a regional setting is fundamental to this role.
Heritage Christian School has a clearly defined Teaching and Learning Framework. The Head of Junior School will lead implementation of High Impact Teaching Strategies aligned with this approach.
This position requires relevant tertiary qualifications, NESA teacher accreditation, open affirmation of the Christian faith, and demonstrated team-oriented leadership.
Key requirements include knowledge of current syllabus documents, ability to develop contemporary teaching programs, and experience using technology and data in learning.
The successful candidate will be committed to student wellbeing, hold a first aid qualification, and understand Designing for Deep Learning, Transformation by Design, and Explicit Instruction approaches to learning.
Personal attributes include being a committed Christian, having well-developed written, oral, and organisational skills, and demonstrating ability to problem solve and maintain confidentiality.
