Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Assistant to support our national studies "MindCare" and "MindCare4Women."

Main Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, coordinate and execute research activities, including ethics applications, stakeholder engagement, participant recruitment, data collection and reporting.
  • Conduct literature reviews, prepare academic papers, and contribute to the development of publications and conference presentations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, specifically sub-Saharan African communities.
  • Facilitate co-design workshops, surveys, interviews, and stakeholder forums.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational background: Bachelor's degree in health sciences with evidence of further study relevant to the field.
  • Cultural knowledge and community engagement: Strong understanding of and connections to sub-Saharan African communities.
  • Language proficiency: Fluent written and spoken Arabic and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Research experience: Proven experience in research activities, including ethics applications, stakeholder coordination, participant recruitment, data collection, and reporting.
  • Research communication: Strong writing and communication skills, with experience contributing to scientific reports, publications or conference presentations.
