Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electro-Mechanical Simulation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our R&D department, you will play a crucial role in designing, analyzing, and optimizing electric motor and generator systems across various duty cycles to advance material development and support new business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Benchmarking & Analysis
    • Analyze system performance across different duty cycles to identify areas for improvement and verify the advantages of new electromagnetic materials.
    • Study existing industry executions to benchmark performance standards and develop data-driven insights to inform design decisions.
  • System Design & Optimization
    • Design, model, and optimize electro-mechanical systems to enhance material performance and operational efficiency.
    • Develop simulations to replicate real-world conditions, providing actionable insights to guide product development and material R&D.
  • Data-Driven Development
    • Generate detailed performance data to assess operational advantages and support business development in identifying new product applications and market opportunities.
    • Verify new material recipes through data analysis, driving innovation in simulation methodologies and techniques.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure simulation results align with customer needs and project objectives.
    • Communicate technical insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Reporting & Documentation
    • Maintain thorough documentation of simulations, analysis, and results to support knowledge sharing and decision-making across teams.
    • Prepare reports and presentations to convey findings and contribute to the development of ultra-efficient products.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field with a strong focus on electro-mechanical systems and simulation.
  • Proficiency in simulation and modeling software, such as ANSYS Motor CAD, ANSYS Maxwell, COMSOL, MATLAB, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of electromagnetics, mechanics, and thermodynamics principles with experience in multi-physics simulation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in complex systems design.

Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum.
