About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Carer Peer Support Worker to join our team at Lives Lived Well. As a Carer Peer Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to caregivers of young people experiencing mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate support groups in a safe and inclusive manner, encouraging others to share their experiences
  • Develop and maintain a collaborative and open approach, contributing to the development of the team culture and environment
  • Utilize strong communication and engagement skills to relate to a diverse range of people, including caregivers and young people
  • Share your own lived experience, working within professional boundaries and role modeling positive behaviors
  • Establish and maintain a self-care and self-reflection routine, seeking assistance when required
  • Manage your workload effectively within a team environment, balancing multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain good computer skills, utilizing Microsoft Suite and Client Management Systems
  • Understand the impact of mental health challenges on families and caregivers
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or equivalent lived experience training program
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
