About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Professional to join our team in Canberra South. As a casual support worker, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disabilities in your local community.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing active, person-centered support to individuals with disabilities within our lifestyle support settings. You will actively participate in and support clients in their own homes and with accessing the community within our Canberra South suburbs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care and domestic assistance (light cleaning)
  • Facilitating community access and transportation
  • Maintaining and monitoring person-centered plans
  • Documenting progress and note keeping
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and their families

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships with clients and their families
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (obtained prior to employment)
  • Unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence and own registered vehicle

To be successful in this role, you will need to clear probity checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check, Working with Vulnerable People Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.

You will also be required to provide evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination during the recruitment process.
