This position bridges the gap between artistic vision and technical expertise, bringing visual designs to life while optimizing performance and ensuring seamless integration of art assets in a real-time gaming environment.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer / Technical Artist with a proven track record in Unity development and C# programming to join our growing team of creatives and developers building next-generation slot games.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement software systems, art assets, game engine assets, shaders, and real-time visual effects.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and artists to ensure products meet look-and-feel and performance requirements.
  • Identify and solve technical issues related to the art pipeline.
  • Provide artists with technical feedback to ensure optimized asset creation.
  • Document and promote best practices.
  • Develop or suggest tools and scripts to optimize Unity workflow.
  • Profile and debug game performance to identify areas for optimization.
  • Optimize software and art.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a game development studio.
  • Familiarity with versioning software such as Perforce, CVS, Alien Brain, or similar.
  • Experience creating motion graphics or animations (samples required).
  • Experience working under tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with game engines.
Desirable Skills and Abilities:
  • Software engineering (C#).
  • Unity.
  • Tool development (C# and Python).
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D graphics (Photoshop/After Effects and Blender, or equivalent).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of shaders.
  • Profiling and optimization (art and code).
  • Ability to translate reference art from artists into real-time graphics.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on multiple projects with minimal direction.
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles across various platforms.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
