Senior Technical Strategist

The Department of Transport and Planning plays a pivotal role in overseeing key planning, transport, and land use policy decisions and management across the state.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering technical solutions based on business requirements, considering scalability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including planning and partnering specialists, solution architects, and enterprise architecture specialists, to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.
  • Contributing to the development of business concepts at the ideation stage and assisting in preparing high-level estimates and implementation roadmaps for technical solutions and business cases.

Key Requirements:

  • Knowledge of relevant Whole of Victorian Government and Federal Government ICT policies and standards.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with modern tools and technology, sharing innovative ideas and socialising industry trends and best practices.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to consider multiple possibilities when developing a vision for the future.
