Job Description

Overview

The Veterinary Referral Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our neurology team as a Veterinary Neurology Intern. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of neurological conditions in small animals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological cases under the supervision of board-certified neurologists
  • Participate in patient care, including examination, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with neurological conditions
  • Collaborate with other members of the neurology team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities, including journal clubs and symposia

Requirements

  • Veterinary degree registerable in Victoria
  • Completed a rotating internship
  • Strong interest in neurology and a desire to pursue a career in this specialty
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Commitment to the highest standards of patient care
