Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team at The State of Queensland. As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, accountable musculoskeletal Physiotherapy services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-level Physiotherapy clinical services of a complex and independent nature, integrating evidence-based practice and district initiatives within the outpatient areas of the Physiotherapy service.
  • Facilitate professional development and clinical practice of pre-entry students and staff in the outpatient physiotherapy area.
  • Effectively manage staff, mentoring and delegating, and coordinating workloads appropriately to maximize the skills of staff.
  • Promote a learning environment within the team and be responsible for the learning of others through excellent mentoring, strong group presentation skills, and a willingness to share knowledge.
  • Proactively develop own continuous learning and networks, promoting a learning environment within the team.
  • Motivate others to maintain a continuous improvement focus and actively develop and support research opportunities for the department.
  • Effectively manage self using strong time management, prioritization, and delegation skills to achieve deadlines.
  • Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and respect for all patients, carers, and staff.
Requirements
  • Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine-preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
