Strategic Inclusion and Support Leadership Role

The Deputy Principal Inclusion and Support is a key leadership role responsible for driving a school-wide culture of inclusion and promoting equity in education. As a strategic leader, you will work closely with teachers, students, and families to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
About the RoleThis role is located in mainstream secondary schools with seven or more support classes. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of inclusive practices, working closely with the school community to promote student wellbeing and academic success. Your expertise in supporting students with disability will be invaluable in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of inclusive practices in the school community.
- Work closely with teachers to develop and implement evidence-informed practices that promote student wellbeing and academic success.
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with allied health professionals to develop and implement reasonable adjustments to maximize learning and wellbeing outcomes for students with disability.
- Use data to inform the Strategic Improvement Plan and develop measures to improve outcomes for students with disability.
We are seeking an experienced and skilled leader who is passionate about promoting inclusion and equity in education. You will have a deep understanding of the needs of students with disability and a proven track record of developing and implementing inclusive practices in educational settings. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with students, families, and staff.

- Expertise in supporting students with disability and experience in developing and implementing inclusive practices.
- Capacity to develop staff capacity to promote learning and wellbeing growth for students with disability.
- Ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of available and appropriate options for transition to the setting that is best for individual student growth.
