Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a salary of $75,000 - $85,000 per annum, plus superannuation. The position is full-time, with negotiable salary for the right candidate and level of experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine detailed drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.
  • Determine metal type and select stock for stairs.
  • Operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment, and computer-controlled machines.
  • Cut, roll, shape, and mould metal plates and sections precisely.
  • Preheat workpieces for malleability using hand torches or furnaces.
  • Bend and shape metal using tools or heat and hammering.
  • Attach and adjust stringers, install mats, and assemble risers.
  • Install lift hooks, clean and smooth welds, and apply paint if necessary.
  • Clean, polish, and file finished products.
Requirements
  • Certificate III or IV in Engineering Fabrication Trade or recognised international equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Metal Fabricator.
  • Strong communication skills, great work ethics, self-motivation, organisation, punctuality, and reliability.
