Earning Potential

Annual salary at $104,569 - $119,409 per annum, reflecting your experience and qualifications.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychologist to contribute to the health and wellbeing of our community. As an Aboriginal Mental Health Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our clients through effective therapeutic interventions and case management processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual client needs and treatment plans.
  • Coordinate service delivery models for case managed mental health, alcohol, and other drug services.
  • Contribute to comprehensive support services, promoting personal wellbeing within a holistic model of care.
  • Promote a flourishing workplace culture as part of a diverse and multi-disciplinary team.
  • Embody the ethos and values of ATSICHS Brisbane as a long-standing Aboriginal community managed organisation.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualifications in Psychology with general registration by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply high-level clinical judgement and prepare accurate reports on client outcomes.
  • Ability to work with culturally and socially diverse groups, applying a culturally responsive framework to guide interventions.
  • Knowledge of scientifically-based psychology treatment approaches for various presenting problems.
  • Demonstrated experience in administering assessments, undertaking clinical assessments, and overseeing case management processes.
  • A willingness to travel across the ATSICHS Brisbane region and provide therapeutic supports outside of a clinic environment.
  • Disability Worker Screening Card (Yellow Card) or eligibility to apply.
  • Current National Police Check or eligibility to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
