About the Role

Caterpillar Financial is our wholly owned captive financier, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. Our mission is to help our customers, dealers, and Caterpillar succeed through financial services solutions. The Structured Finance team is responsible for facilitating the mining, energy, and transport equipment financing requirements of Caterpillar's customers through the use of structured equipment finance and corporate debt facilities.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our Structured Finance team, you will provide first-line support, coordinate services, resolve issues, and recommend selected products and services to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Address and resolve customer issues and inquiries, ensuring all customer communication is clearly documented.
  • Identify issues and determine the appropriate course of action for effective resolution.
  • Process results from analysis of data.
  • Execute standard customer service processes, maintaining customer accounts and relationships.

  • Listening: Knowledge of effective listening issues and techniques, with the ability to gather, clarify, and apply information transmitted verbally.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques, with the ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Qualifications and Experience
  • University degree or equivalent experience desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in a similar role.
  • Finance industry experience desired but not essential.
