About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of our services aligned with our Sustainability strategy across Australia and New Zealand. As a Sustainability Expert - Environmental Advisor, you will be responsible for leading and conducting sustainability and management system standard audits, ensuring client understanding of audit decisions, and promoting business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  • Lead and conduct sustainability and management system standard audits alone or in audit teams, in accordance with our requirements and Our Client Promise.
  • Prepare audit reports and deliver findings to clients, ensuring clear direction to particular items of corrective action where appropriate.
  • Recommend the issue, re-issue, or withdrawal of certificates and verification statements, and report recommendations in accordance with our policy and procedures within the prescribed time frame.
  • Establish and develop an effective partnership with clients, securing commercial relationships and encouraging opportunities for business development and increased client satisfaction.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in sustainability and environmental management systems, including ISO 14001 and SMETA.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed recommendations.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of organization and time management skills.
