Job Title: System Analyst

At the heart of our organization, we oversee the sustainable management of water resources in a vast basin.

We are responsible for operating the River Murray system and efficiently delivering water to users on behalf of partner governments. Our key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing an integrated plan for the sustainable use of the Basin's water resources
  • Operating the River Murray system and efficiently delivering water to users
  • Monitoring and recording the quality and quantity of the Basin's water resources
  • Supporting research and investigations about the Basin's water resources and dependent ecosystems

The System Analyst will contribute to multidisciplinary project teams from various Divisions and technical staff from Basin States. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting technical studies using historical and modelled data to assist implementation of the Enhanced Environmental Water Delivery project
  • Undertaking modelling studies for assessing impacts of different environmental water delivery strategies and river systems operations
  • Improving the capabilities of hydrologic models and analytical tools
