Join a leading university in its digital-transformation program and help fast-track the process.

You'll be responsible for owning critical Azure DevOps and infrastructure work that powers research, teaching and student services.

  • Design and maintain efficient Azure DevOps pipelines and repos, all codified in Bicep for secure, repeatable releases.
  • Harden and optimise the platform by governing Azure networking, security, containers and driving FinOps cost-savings across the tenancy.
  • Lift the team by mentoring engineers and leading new cloud initiatives, setting DevOps standards across the university.

Key responsibilities include automating and scaling Azure (and occasional AWS) infrastructure via IaC (Bicep, ARM).

Create YAML-based CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps that enable rapid, reliable releases.

Implement monitoring, logging and alerting to keep services performant and resilient.

Enforce tagging, naming and security policies; champion continuous improvement and cost optimisation.

Act as senior escalation point for complex incidents while guiding junior engineers.

This role requires 5+ years of experience in DevOps/cloud engineering with deep Azure expertise and IaC skills (Bicep).

Proven record building enterprise-grade CI/CD in Azure DevOps and managing containerised workloads is also necessary.

A strong grasp of cloud security, networking and FinOps practices is essential.
