The YMCA Yandina Outside School Hours Care is seeking an Educational Leader to join their team on a Permanent Part-Time basis.

About the Position

This role involves leading the development and implementation of the education program, promoting children's well-being, development, and learning. This includes helping children develop values, attitudes, and ways of living and learning through providing high-quality care, activities, and educational elements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of the educational program and assessment with support from Assistant Coordinator/Coordinator;
  • Evaluate children's learning and development to inform the design of the educational program;
  • Liaise effectively with parents, staff, and internal and external stakeholders;
  • Mentor and support educators' understanding of the educational program and practice;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies;
  • Undertake administrative requirements;

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent and demonstrated experience in Early Childhood Education. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework and child development theories.
