About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Student Facilitator. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating optimal ongoing learning opportunities and clinical knowledge development of undergraduate nursing students undertaking clinical placements.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years current post-graduate experience in an acute hospital setting, with demonstrated preceptorship skills and experience teaching and supervising students and novice nurses. They will also hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment.
As the successful candidate, you will work closely with the Quality, Risk & Education Services Manager and Senior Nurse Educator to achieve set clinical learning objectives outlined in the subject outline. You will assess and assist undergraduate nursing students in attaining competency in nursing procedures and achieving set clinical learning objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitating optimal ongoing learning opportunities and clinical knowledge development of undergraduate nursing students
- Assessing and assisting undergraduate nursing students in attaining competency in nursing procedures
- Collaborating and working collegially with all parties involved in the clinical placement process
- Demonstrating clinical expertise and professional role modelling in the clinical placement setting
