Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Counsellor to facilitate the delivery of our Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) program, working closely with our award-winning Client Treatment Services team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 and group AOD interventions to meet the needs identified within individual client assessments.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans to support clients in achieving their goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families on AOD issues and recovery strategies.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and assessments to monitor client outcomes and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in human services, with a proven track record in counselling (individual and group-based).
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • An empathetic approach to clients, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services.
  • Experience working in criminal justice systems and/or practices, including within custodial facilities.
  • Understanding of and/or experience working with comorbidities, including Mental Health, Domestic/Family Violence, and Gambling.
