Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Psychologist to lead our psychology department at St Vincent's Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of our psychology workforce, as well as operational management of those who report to you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Governance: Provide strategic leadership and governance to our psychology workforce, including planning, development, recruitment, and allocation of services.
  • Clinical Supervision: Provide clinical supervision to psychology staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and competencies to deliver high-quality care.
  • Clinical Policy Development: Develop clinical policies, plans, and programs to enhance the service's capability and improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with clinical and operational program managers to support the psychology roles within interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A tertiary qualification (Masters or Doctoral level) in Psychology, registered as a Psychologist with AHPRA, with specialist endorsement in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology.
  • Experience: Extensive experience as a psychologist at a senior level in public health services and/or in Mental Health & Wellbeing.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and governance skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to provide clinical supervision and guidance to psychology staff.
