We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Specialist to join our team at Collar Group, providing exceptional care to residents in our Residential Aged Care facilities in New South Wales.
As a Personal Care Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, grooming, and hygiene.
- Assisting Registered Nurses with vital sign documentation, medication administration, and resident assessments.
- Supporting residents with meal consumption and monitoring nutrition, ensuring their dietary needs are met.
- Maintaining infection control and prevention measures to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Providing palliative care, restorative care, and pain management services to residents.
- Liaising with residents' families, doctors, and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements for Success
- Certification in Aged Care or equivalent, such as Cert III in Individual Support.
- COVID-19 vaccinations and annual flu shot.
- Current first aid and CPR certification.
- Minimum 6 months of full-time experience working in Aged Care as a Personal Care Worker in Australia.
- Current Police Check (under 12 months old) and NDIS Clearance or willingness to obtain.
