Postdoctoral Research Associate in Fusion Materials

This highly collaborative role involves working closely with research groups at UNSW and ANSTO, effectively managing responsibilities and building productive relationships.

You will have access to cutting-edge facilities, including the OPAL Research Reactor, offering opportunities for ion irradiation studies and in-situ testing.

The position reports directly to Associate Professor Edward Obbard and does not involve direct supervision.

  • A PhD in a related field or relevant work experience.
  • Expertise in handling active materials, planning irradiation campaigns, and characterizing materials using various techniques.
  • Proven ability to undertake high-quality research and conduct independent work with minimal supervision.
  • A track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
  • Demonstrated team collaboration skills and ability to build effective relationships.
