**Job Overview**
The Pantry Assistant is responsible for managing daily pantry operations and food beverage services. This role involves coordinating offerings, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a consistent supply of stock.
Key Responsibilities:
- Replenish stock in snack shelves/baskets as required
- Replenish beverage/milk stock in fridges and/or shelves
- Place overflow stock in storeroom
- Place perishable items in relevant areas (fruit, bread, etc.)
- Keep stockrooms clean and organised, following FIFO storage practice
- Top up milk/beans for coffee machines
- Support Lunch service (Setup / pack down)
- Maintain accurate inventory of food items and supplies, ensuring proper storage for both perishable and non-perishable goods
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of kitchen and pantry equipment, coffee machines, catering benches, pantry service area, pantry storage area and other relevant areas
Requirements:
- Corporate experience preferred, with knowledge of the food industry, including food pantry operations
- Current RSA competency card
- Problem-solving skills to handle shortages, compliance issues, and logistical challenges
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Outstanding communicational and interpersonal skills
- Immaculate and smart presentation
