Food Service Manager Job Description

As a food service manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our customers. You will lead by example in a supportive environment and be responsible for the overall success of our cafe operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-quality menus and prepare dishes that meet customer expectations
  • Plan and coordinate cafe operations, including staff management and inventory control
  • Proactively manage customer queries and provide timely solutions
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Monitor sales and revenue, contribute to marketing initiatives, and suggest process improvements
  • Lead and support team members through training and teamwork

Qualifications:

  • Certificate or degree in commercial cookery or equivalent
  • Minimum four years' experience in the food industry
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health standards
  • Excellent communication and literacy skills
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred)
  • A collaborative and positive approach to leading and supporting others
