Cement Transportation Coordinator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and organized professional to oversee the transportation of cement products. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise extensively with customers to receive and review cement delivery orders, allocating vehicles based on delivery locations and available resources
  • Coordinate the transportation of products required for cement production, such as flyash and gypsum
  • Manage driver allocation to optimize delivery routes and reduce costs, while ensuring adherence to driver fatigue management protocols
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure sufficient load and supply is available for all scheduled deliveries
  • Communicate delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays to customers, minimizing their impact
  • Monitor and report on warehouse stocks of bagged products at distribution centers

  • Proven organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring relationships with internal and external customers are maintained
  • Strong problem-solving skills, effective in managing day-to-day logistics
  • Familiarity with cement industry operations and transport requirements is advantageous
Qualifications/Requirements
  • A Statement of Attainment in Implementation or Application of Fatigue Management Strategies; or previous experience in allocations/logistics would be highly regarded
