We are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable swimming instructors for our Learn to Swim Program. Ideal candidates must have a strong background in teaching swimming techniques and be able to effectively communicate with students of all ages.

  • Experience teaching Learn to Swim and/or stroke correction
  • A current Working With Children Check
  • A First Aid Certificate
  • A CPR Certificate
  • ASCTA or AUSTSWIM Qualification as a Swim Teacher and/or Teacher Towards Competitive Strokes

Ravenswood prioritizes staff wellbeing and student academic success through innovative teaching practices underpinned by Positive Education. Our Learn to Swim Program is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for students to learn and develop their swimming skills.

The successful candidate will have the ability to create engaging lesson plans, adapt to different learning styles and needs, and work collaboratively with other staff members to achieve program goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach swimming lessons to students of varying skill levels
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Sports Science, or related field
  • Current ASCTA or AUSTSWIM certification
  • Working With Children Check
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
