About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our team at Southern Cross Care. This position will be based at our Central Office and will be a roving position working across metropolitan Adelaide and Fleurieu Peninsula.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be an active member of a multi-disciplinary care team that achieves outstanding customer outcomes
  • Provide high-quality assessment and therapy services
  • Lead the Early Intervention Working Party, including case conferencing and problem-solving of complex care needs
  • Support residents on Recovery Pathways to bounce back from decline
  • Participate in the teaching and learning of Speech pathology requirements to staff and healthcare students
About You

We are looking for people who will make a positive impact in the lives of our residents and clients. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • A Bachelor or Master Degree in Speech Pathology or relevant Allied Health discipline
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia and the Professional Self-Regulation Program
  • Knowledge and ability to competently apply current speech pathology theory to provide holistic patient care
  • Ability to plan and coordinate clinical patient care
  • Ability to make sound decisions and accept responsibility for own practice
  • Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Quality Improvement process
  • Knowledge of legislation relevant to speech pathology practice
