Assistant Banquet Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Banquet Manager to join our team at The Star Sydney. As a key member of our Food and Beverage Department, you will be responsible for leading and owning the day-to-day operations of the Event Centre and The Star.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate a diverse and large team to deliver exceptional service
  • Supervise food and beverage stock, controlling costs, profit, and loss expenses, and wages through effective staffing levels
  • Assist in the recruitment, coaching, and development of the team
  • Communicate effectively with the business and guests to ensure smooth running of events
Requirements:
  • Extensive banquets/event management experience in a high-volume, dynamic venue
  • Strong product knowledge, including wine and spirits
  • Confidence to lead a large and diverse team
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol NSW
