At a faith-based educational institution, we are seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join our team of passionate professionals. With increasing enrollments in our new Early Learning Centre, this is an exciting time to contribute to the nurturing development of young children.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement a high-quality early childhood program that focuses on social and emotional development, language skills, thinking and problem-solving, and foundational literacy and numeracy from a biblical perspective.
  2. Collaborate with staff, families, and professionals to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that supports children's diverse needs.
  3. Develop and implement an emergent educational program that aligns with national quality standards and promotes holistic child development.
  4. Engage in reflective learning teams to explore and implement innovative approaches, such as nature pedagogy and the Reggio Emilia method.
Requirements
  • Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Current First Aid Certificate, including Anaphylaxis and Asthma training.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in early childhood services.
  • Working knowledge of regulations, standards, frameworks, and codes.
  • Inclusion Support experience desirable.
  • Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and completed RRHAN-EC training.
Selection Criteria
  1. Ability to design a play-based curriculum that aligns with a biblical worldview and prioritizes social and emotional development, language skills, thinking and problem-solving, and foundational literacy and numeracy.
  2. Understanding of assessment and pedagogical documentation practices.
  3. Commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Capacity to develop healthy relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
