As a key member of the finance team, this high-impact accounting role will focus on managing core accounting functions with an emphasis on manufacturing cost analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with senior finance leaders to oversee core accounting processes and inform strategic financial planning.
- Monitor and record manufacturing-related costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.
- Maintain accurate inventory valuation and perform regular reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Conduct profitability analyses by product, customer, or business unit to support pricing and strategy decisions.
- Oversee general ledger accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring proper coding and documentation in the ERP system.
- Prepare and post journal entries for inventory, standard costs, and account adjustments.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, including preparing schedules and reconciliations.
- Support internal and external audits with timely and accurate cost and financial documentation.
- Implement and maintain internal controls for inventory, costing, and financial reporting accuracy.
- Utilize ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics BC, SAP, Oracle) to manage accounting data, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects focused on financial planning, process improvement, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred, but not required.
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
