Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Mediix in Mackay, Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to make a significant impact on the mental health of young people in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Care:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for children and adolescents.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide expert consultation and guidance on complex cases within the team and to external partners.
- Leadership & Teamwork:
- Lead and mentor junior staff, including registrars and allied health professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
- Contribute to research and academic activities as appropriate.
- Community Engagement:
- Work with local agencies and stakeholders to promote mental health awareness and services.
- Engage with families and caregivers to support the holistic care of young patients.
- Total remuneration package valued up to $514,452 per annum, based on experience.
- Base salary between $204,206 - $258,910 per annum, depending on classification level.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
- 17.5% leave loading for 4 weeks leave.
