The MSBase Foundation

The MSBase Foundation is an independent not-for-profit organization operating a unique international collaborative registry - The MSBase Registry. This innovative platform supports clinicians working in multiple sclerosis (MS) and other neuroimmunological diseases by providing data-entry tools, scientific support, and governance.

With over 85,000 patient records from 40 countries, the MSBase Registry is the largest global repository of longitudinal 'real-world' MS patient data. Established in 2004, the Registry aims to advance collaborative outcomes research, improving healthcare for those living with MS or other neuroimmunological diseases.

The Role

We seek an experienced Azure specialist (Cloud & DevOps Engineer) to join our team for an exciting cloud modernization program, including development of a new web app and redevelopment of key components of the existing Azure infrastructure in January 2024.

This crucial role will be embedded in the MSBase and partner development team from the outset, offering a challenging opportunity with interesting complexities and a significant impact on MSBase's future operations.

To succeed, you must possess strong accountability, strategic thinking, and a passion for making a difference through technology as an enabler. As a clear communicator and strong team player with an agile mindset, you will collaborate closely with our award-winning Microsoft Azure Technology Partner and report to the MSBase Head of IT.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, along with a minimum 5 years of experience in similar technical roles
  • Microsoft Certified (Various certifications considered, especially Azure specialization areas)
  • Flexibility, transparency, and a collaborative approach to working methods
  • Underlying development experience as a full-stack developer, focusing on .NET and/or Azure tech stack
  • Core understanding of Azure Cloud services, IaaS, PaaS offerings, governance, and architecture
  • Experience configuring Azure DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines
  • Experience using Azure Board, JIRA, Trello, and similar tools
  • Experience working in Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban/etc.)
