Job Description

As a seasoned professional in engineering, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the site's operations are aligned with global best practices and regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for developing and executing site capital plans, coordinating with regional and global teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Key Performance Indices include:

  • Environment, Health and Safety compliance for all engineering and project activities at site.
  • Site Capital Plan development and execution.
  • Stakeholder management at site and globally.
Essential Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensuring robust engineering processes are followed in the Engineering department.
  2. Leading and driving accountability for assigned elements of the EHS management system.
  3. Participating in RCA for product quality defects and incident investigations.
  4. Actively working with Environment, Waste Reduction and Sustainability leaders to identify engineering solutions for improvement.
  5. Developing expertise and thorough knowledge in the Engineering Team on engineering regulations, PPG technical requirements, and industry best practices.
  6. Signing off engineering designs and drawings as a final engineering authority.
  7. Building relationships and working collaboratively with key equipment suppliers and vendors.
  8. Working closely with Suppliers, R&D, and PPG Global stakeholders to investigate new technologies.
  9. Developing networks with local technical universities and industry bodies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 10+ years of manufacturing-related engineering and capital planning experience.
  • Extensive working experience in the chemical industry and managing engineering activities.
  • Experience in large-scale industrial procurement processes with international key equipment manufacturers and EPC contracts.
