Job Opportunity for Senior Electrical Engineer

SIMPEC has been awarded the contract to construct and install a demonstration-scale chemicals facility at Pilgangoora Plant for Pilbara Minerals.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis working a FIFO 2:1 roster at Pilgangoora, Marble Bar. This opportunity allows you to develop your career with a dynamic and growing organisation that boasts a great and different culture.

This role offers outstanding opportunities to enhance your career by implementing, maintaining, coordinating, and expediting procurement and construction elements for designated work areas.

  • Implementing and maintaining project plans and ensuring timely execution.
  • Providing direction and support to site teams of engineers during project execution.
  • Resolving technical engineering issues and associated problems throughout the project duration.
  • Ensuring overall quality control of the work and reporting regularly on project status.
  • Creating work packs, test packs; estimation & site variations.
  • Presenting project progress updates to senior management and clients.
  • Developing and monitoring KPIs and analysing productivity factors against program and budget.
  • Integrating the engineering team's work with all other project departments.
  • Reviewing engineering deliverables and initiating corrective actions as needed.

About You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role involving electrical and instrumentation installation.
  • Understanding of governing standards in Mining Construction particularly Australian Standards.
  • Excellent time management skills and strong ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, influencing and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in modelling and drawing software such as Naviswork Simulate, MS Project and/or Bluebeam.
