We are seeking a skilled Smokehouse Cook to join our team at Frank's Barbecue Texas Smokehouse in East Victoria Park, WA. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and creating delicious meals for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement recipes to ensure high-quality dishes
  • Manage the preparation and cooking of meat, including trimming, smoking, and temperature control
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
  • Oversee the cooking process in the barbecue pit
  • Perform routine maintenance on the smoker
  • Optimize meat placement for optimal results

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Cook/Chef
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Cook/Chef in a smokehouse
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a supervisor in the kitchen
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in making schedules, costing, and organizing events
  • Ability to lift 25 kg and work in various temperatures
  • Excellent knife skills and knowledge of BBQ techniques
  • Hands-on experience with kitchen equipment
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary, grilling, smoking, and pastry techniques
  • Leadership skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent time management abilities
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
  • Familiarity with sanitation regulations
  • Australian Trade qualifications (Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or similar)
