About the Role

Michael Page is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team in the healthcare sector. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide expert legal advice and support to our clients in the Asia Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Legal Advice and Support: Offer expert legal advice and support to our clients in the healthcare sector, focusing on healthcare compliance, commercial contract drafting, and negotiation.
  • Identify and Mitigate Legal Risk: Identify, manage, and mitigate legal risk and opportunity in business activities within commercial projects, including the development of bespoke contracts.
  • Strategic Advice and Support: Provide strategic advice and support to our clients on sales and go-to-market models, customer contracts, third-party seller arrangements, and commercial and operating models.
  • Template Agreement Management: Ensure consistent use of template agreements within the business, including customization of template NDAs, service agreements, distribution agreements, and consultancy agreements.
  • Legal Support to Functional Teams: Provide legal support to functional teams, including Finance, HR, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Tax, Corporate, Compliance, and more.
  • Goods and Services Agreements: Support on goods and services agreements for Marketing, Professional Services, and Procurement functions.
  • Technology Agreements: Advise and support on technology agreements.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Support on M&A and integrations as required.
  • Intellectual Property: Liaise with the Global IP team on intellectual property matters within the region.
  • Litigation and Investigations: Support on litigation and investigations as required within the region.
  • Promotional Material Review: Assist with promotional material review and digital media content review, including websites (instructing external counsel where appropriate).
Requirements
  • Strong Legal Skills: Possess strong legal, analytical, communication, and presentation skills for the candidate's level of experience.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrate a keen interest in and ability to understand the business, its strategies, its people.
  • Autonomy and Collaboration: Be able to work autonomously within the role and operate at a professional level, while also being able to work collaboratively with others, both within and outside of the Legal team.
  • Time Management: Possess strong time management skills coupled with an ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Education and Qualifications: Hold a JD/Bachelor degree from a well-respected institution (Singapore/Australia/UK/US/Overseas) as a minimum, and a legal qualification in Australia/Singapore/UK/US as a minimum.
  • Experience: Have 5+ years post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house.
  • Life Sciences and Commercial Experience: Possess life sciences and broad commercial transactional experience, preferably.
  • Fluency in English: Be fluent in written and spoken English.
