Pacific National is seeking a highly motivated Trainee Locomotive Driver to join our team in Tennyson QLD. As a Trainee Locomotive Driver, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake comprehensive training with a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Train Driving
- Participate in an accelerated traineeship program, which includes a three-stage progression approach and builds on theoretical and practical knowledge achieved within an operational rail environment
- Develop safe and efficient locomotive operations by undergoing competency-based assessments and on-the-job training
- A current 'C' class driver's license
- A high regard for safety
- Customer focus with the ability to work effectively within a team
- Basic level of computer proficiency and excellent communication skills
- Passion for success and personal development
- Experience with shift work and flexibility to work a highly variable roster
- Ability to work away from home for varying periods
- School certificate or equivalent
