About the Role
The Cyber Technology Assurance, Risk & Compliance Lead will oversee the management and delivery of ISMS across a national regulator, considering technology risks associated with cyber security. This individual will lead a team responsible for growing a security-aware culture, ensuring appropriate risk management considerations are applied.
This role reports to the Director Technology Commercial & Assurance, requiring problem-solving skills to balance innovative business solutions with risk management. The successful candidate will ensure the NHVR's vendor ecosystem is properly evaluated, assessed, and managed to minimize risk exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Cyber Technology Governance processes to ensure the enterprise-wide security program responds to the changing threat environment and external obligations.
- Ensure the Technology Assurance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) system is designed and operating effectively, empowering the user experience and moving the organization towards a dynamic, automated, and data-driven assessment of risk.
- Determine, plan, and build a Technology GRC team, ensuring capability and resources are applied effectively to manage NHVR's Information Security Risk position.
- Provide advice and leadership on the NHVR's risk profile, emerging risks, and better practice risk and compliance management, focusing on technology and cyber risks.
- Proactively manage Cyber Security Risk, identifying and resolving ongoing issues or planning projects to correct underlying problems.
- Produce regular reporting on NHVR's Cyber Security Risk position for consumption by the Executive Leadership Team, Audit & Risk Committee, and Internal Audit.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will require 5+ years' experience within Information Security roles, including designing and implementing Information security programs, policies, and procedures in enterprise environments.
You should have knowledge of Information Security frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST, ASD Essential 8, and experience managing a robust Vendor Security Risk Assessment process using SIG templates.
