About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Customs Broker to lead our small Customs Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical skill set and a proven track record of managing a team of brokers and support staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of brokers and support staff to ensure the successful execution of customs clearance and logistics operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive the strategic direction of the team and the company.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the customs team to ensure compliance with Australian Customs and AQIS rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the management team to drive business growth and development.
  • Conduct regular performance appraisals to ensure the customs team is meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a licensed Customs Broker.
  • Proven management experience in a customs team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet and engage with new and established business partners.
  • Further education in management will be advantageous.
