About Your New Role

The Technology Strategy & Enablement Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the IT strategy for this large Australian company, leading a team of 8 and acting as the trusted advisor to the senior leadership team and board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Strategy function to ensure the technology strategy aligns with the corporate strategy.
  • Develop long-term strategic plans for the technology function in consultation with business leaders, anticipating business needs.
  • Analyze the existing IT environment to ensure maximum performance and value are delivered to the business.
  • Represent the Technology function to business stakeholders across all areas of operations.
  • Oversee the IT architecture, including future planning for the company.
  • Lead architectural governance initiatives, including technology standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement throughout the Technology function, promoting best practice at all levels.
  • Develop an integrated people, process, and technology plan to deliver optimum performance and increased human capability.
About You
  • You will have demonstrated competence in the above tasks in an IT/technology leadership position.
  • You will have proven experience partnering with senior and board-level executives, effectively partnering, challenging, and influencing during interactions, and positioning yourself as the subject expert for all technology-related queries.
  • You will bring proven expertise in developing and executing an IT strategy for an enterprise-level organization.
  • You will have transformed a business-enabling IT function into one that can operate as a business driver.
  • You will have a well-rounded skill set, gained by performing various positions throughout an IT function.
  • You will have prior experience managing architecture and sound working knowledge.
  • You will be a strategic thinker with a natural curiosity for new technology and its practical applications.
  • You will have a defined communication style and corporate presence, allowing you to relate to senior leaders and non-IT stakeholders alike.
